1. About this policy

WESTHILLCOMMUNITY provides All Document Viewer. This policy explains how the app handles information when you find, preview and manage documents, how Google Firebase services support usage measurement, reliability and notifications, and how we handle information you send to our support email.

The current version works without creating an account. Document scanning and built-in previews run on your device. We do not operate a cloud document service or automatically upload your document library to our servers.

2. Information processed on your device

After you grant file access, the app examines accessible shared storage for supported documents. It reads file names, storage paths, file types, sizes and modification dates to display, search and sort your files. Opening a supported file also processes its contents to display a preview on your device.

The app saves up to 20 recent-open records, including each file path and the time it was opened. It also saves your selected language, whether you completed the guide, and whether the notification permission explanation has been handled. These settings and recent-open records are stored in the app's local storage.

Document scanning and built-in previews run on your device. We do not send your document library, file contents, file names, storage paths, recent-file list or search queries as custom Analytics events. Separate Firebase diagnostics, system backup and user-requested sharing are described below.

3. Permissions and their purposes

File access: On Android 11 and later, the app requests All files access to locate and manage supported documents across accessible shared-storage folders. On Android 10 and earlier, it requests storage read and write permissions. This access supports the document list, search, previews, renaming, sharing and deletion.

You can decline or revoke file access in Android settings. The app cannot scan, preview or manage shared-storage documents without the required access, but you can still open settings and this policy.

Notifications: The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging for remote notifications. Notification permission is optional on Android versions that request it. You can turn notifications off in Android settings; declining notification permission does not prevent document reading. Disabling notification display does not itself disable Firebase registration, usage analytics or crash reporting.

The app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone. A document you choose to open may itself contain personal information; that content is processed as part of the document preview.

4. Sharing and opening files in other apps

Files are passed to another app only when you choose a sharing or external-open action and select a recipient app. The selected app receives access to the file and may receive its name and file type. For some storage locations, All Document Viewer first creates a copy in its local cache to make this action possible.

The selected app may store, upload or further share the file according to its own functions, your choices and its privacy policy. Closing or deleting a file in All Document Viewer does not remove copies already received by another app or person.

We do not sell personal information or share document contents with advertisers. The current version has no advertising SDK or in-app advertisements. It includes Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging as described below. Android, your device provider and Google Play may separately process installation, security or diagnostic information under their own settings and policies.

5. Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging

We use services provided by Google Firebase. Analytics collection, Crashlytics collection and Cloud Messaging automatic initialization are enabled by default in this version. These services send relevant information to Google over the network; document reading and built-in previews still work without an internet connection.

Google Analytics for Firebase measures app use and engagement. It can collect app-instance identifiers, app and device information such as app version, operating system, device model and language, session and interaction events, and approximate location derived from network information. Automatically collected events can include first opens, app updates, sessions and notification interactions. Our additional screen-view events contain fixed page names and document categories, not file names, paths, document contents or search queries. We do not set a custom account user ID.

Firebase Crashlytics helps us diagnose crashes, non-fatal errors and application-not-responding (ANR) events. Reports can include installation identifiers, app and device information, event times, stack traces, device state, diagnostic logs and Analytics breadcrumbs. Automatic crash reports may contain information present in exception messages. For the non-fatal document scan and preview reports we create, we remove the original exception messages, causes and suppressed exceptions and keep the operation, exception class and code stack trace. We do not deliberately attach your documents, file names, file paths or search queries to these reports.

Firebase Cloud Messaging uses Firebase installation identifiers, registration tokens, app and device metadata and messaging-related information to register the app installation and route push messages. Notifications can contain a message title and text; tapping a notification opens the app. The Firebase SDK manages registration and token refresh. The current app does not send registration tokens to a separate developer-operated application server. Notification delivery and interaction events may be measured through Firebase Analytics.

We disable Advertising ID collection and personalized-advertising signals in the app configuration and deny advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization consent through the Analytics SDK. We use Analytics for app measurement, not personalized advertising. We do not request GPS location or send support email addresses as Analytics user properties.

Google processes Firebase information under the applicable Firebase and Google terms and privacy policies, and information may be processed outside your country. Retention and deletion depend on the relevant Firebase service, our project settings and applicable obligations; uninstalling the app does not automatically delete previously received server-side reports. For Google information, see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy. Contact sundaylimited72@gmail.com with privacy requests about our use of these services.

6. Android backup and device transfer

The app currently allows Android system backup and device transfer. Depending on your device, backup settings and backup provider, app settings and recent-open records, including stored file paths and opening times, may be backed up to your chosen backup service or transferred to another device.

These operations are performed by Android or your device's backup provider under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or control the backup through an All Document Viewer server. App cache files are excluded from Android Auto Backup.

The app does not create its own cloud backup of documents in shared storage. Other apps or device services may separately back up those original files. You can manage system backup, restoration and retained backup copies through the relevant device or provider settings.

7. Storage and deletion

Local preferences and recent-open records remain until they are replaced, removed by the app, or erased by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. The recent-open list is limited to 20 records. A system restore may restore previously backed-up settings and records.

Temporary sharing copies may remain in the app cache until the system reclaims them, you clear the cache or app data, or you uninstall the app. The app does not promise to delete a sharing copy immediately after the recipient app opens it.

Using Delete removes the selected original file from its storage location and removes its recent-open record in the app. Uninstalling All Document Viewer does not delete original documents stored outside the app's private directories. Copies held by recipients, other apps or backup providers must be managed separately.

8. When you contact us

If you email sundaylimited72@gmail.com, we receive the email address you use, your message and any information or attachments you voluntarily include. We use this correspondence to answer questions, investigate issues and handle privacy requests.

Support correspondence is handled through our email provider and may be stored or processed outside your country under that provider's arrangements. We retain correspondence only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. Please avoid sending private document contents unless they are necessary to explain your issue.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can revoke permissions in Android settings, clear the app cache to remove temporary copies, or clear app data to remove local settings and recent-open records. Clearing app data resets the app and does not itself delete original documents in shared storage. System backup copies may remain until you remove them through your backup provider.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, obtain a portable copy, or object to or restrict processing. You may also have the right to contact a data protection authority. Contact our privacy email for requests about information we hold, such as support correspondence. We may request information reasonably needed to verify and respond to your request.

Documents and records that remain only on your device are not available for us to retrieve or delete remotely. Use the device controls described above to manage them. There is no All Document Viewer account to delete in the current version.

You can disable notification display through Android settings. There are no in-app switches for Analytics or Crashlytics collection in this version. Uninstalling the app stops it from generating new events on that device. Clearing app data resets local app data and may create new Firebase identifiers, but does not itself erase information already received by Google. Contact our privacy email about information processed through our Firebase project.

10. Security

The app uses Android's app-storage protections for its settings and cache. When you choose to share or externally open a file, it uses Android content URIs and grants the receiving app read access. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security; your device security and the apps you select also affect the protection of your files.

11. Children's privacy

All Document Viewer is a general-purpose document tool and is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support address, contact us so we can review and address the request as required by applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

If our information practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law. The policy available in the app and on our published privacy-policy page describes the version to which it applies.
